We Work Hard To Provide You The Best Quality Cookies

What started as a way to process grief has become a labor of love, supported by my chosen family. My best friends and family convinced me to stop giving away cookies for free, and Ara’s Bakehaus was born. The name comes from my childhood nickname, “Ara,” given to me by my best friend when we were just two years old. She’s been calling me Ara ever since, and now her niece and my nieces call me Tía Ara. “Bakehaus” reflects the heart of my cookies—they’re baked in my home, with love, for the family I’ve chosen. Ara’s Bakehaus is a tribute to Aaron and the people who’ve supported me every step of the way. Every cookie I bake is made with love, honor, and a deep sense of gratitude for the connections that make life sweet.
Our Company
Baking has been a part of my heart for as long as I can remember. I started in middle school, making treats for my friends and classmates, but last year, it became so much more. At the end of 2024, my best friend’s big brother—my bonus big brother, Aaron Myles Smith—passed away. Aaron loved food and cooking, and after his passing, I turned to baking as a way to cope. In the week between his passing and the funeral, I baked over 100 cookies to bring comfort and joy to friends and family. It helped me heal, and I haven’t stopped baking since. – Jazara N. Founder

Thank you for being part of this journey and for letting me share a piece of my heart—and my kitchen—with you.
